Casey is out of surgery – it went a little longer than expected but not much. No serious blood loss and they already extubated her. The new J-tube went in fine. There is some concern on how the old G-tube site got closed up, due to the amount of damaged tissue, but they are keeping an eye on it. Now we settle in for recovery, try to keep on top of pain meds (she is pretty doped right now). We are in the ICU mainly to watch her lungs, since they always have a hard time with intubation.
